The Timeless Adventure
April 18-20, 2007

Alora, Donna, and I (Suze) spent a lovely weekend in Florida. I didn't wear a watch, we splet when we were tired ate when we were hungry and relaxed all weekend.

APRIL 18
We all flew Jet Blue, Alora from New York, Donna from Oakland and Suze from Long Beach.
We stayed at The Yankee Clipper Sheraton right on the beach.
After relaxing on the beach we had lunch at The Bahai Cabana. The food was good, but we had a really lousy waitress.
After lunch we were tired (Donna and Suze had taken the red eye) so we took a nap.
Later Alora and Suze were sitting by the pool and saw mermaids.
Next came Shopping on Las Olas Blvd.- they have lots of nice shoppes and boutiques. One of our favorite's was Seldom Seen Gallery.
We ate dinner at La Bonne Crepe. The crepes were gigantic!
For dessert we found Kilwin's. We got ice cream. Alora had a coconut and I had cake mix, which tasted just like cake off the batter. (I don't recall what Donna had.) We also bought some treats to take back to the hotel.

APRIL 19
In the "morning" we went to the shops by the beach Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Alora bought some really good key lime taffy.
For Lunch we went to the Oasis Cafe. The food is not bad, but you really have to go for the swings. All the tables are on gliders. It was very relaxing looking out at the ocean and sipping on a mojito.


In the afternoon we rode around the inner canals on the Water Taxi. It was fun looking at the big houses and the yachts, some bigger and more expensive than the houses.

We got off the Water taxi at the stop 1 and walked ont he beach in a residential area.
We then took the water taxi to Las Olas Blvd.
We found my favorite store, Fresh Produce Sports Wear 'cause they had Extra Fresh Produce.
we had dinner at Caffe Blu which was yummy! The we went to Kilwin's for dessert...again.

APRIL 20
We had lunch at Oasis Cafe again and watched the para-surfers.
We sat on the beach for a few hours. I swam in the warm water. It was very nice
Alas our time together came to an end. Donna left first. Alora and I have a light dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. She left later. I went for a walk and have a drink in the bar then left early the next morning.
