Saturday Feb 3

• Aquarium of the Pacific In Long Beach
  This is a great Aquarium. The most fun was the Lorikee Exhibit.
  

  Sunday Feb. 4

• Crown Plaza In Ventura
• Before Dinner mom and I walked out on the Ventura Pier

  Monday Feb 5

• We had 3 classes, two on the Channel Islands and the Marine life with Margery Spielman one on the Chumash with Robert Lopez
  I still doodle a lot.
  
• We had free time in the afternoon, so we explored Ventura
• We visited The City Hall and the Mission
  

  Tue Feb 6

• Channel Island National Park with the Island Packers to Anacapa
  On the boat we saw dolphins, whe hiked around The Island. The Choriposis were just starting to bloom, the seagulls we seeking out thier territory for nesting, and there were lots of pelicans. From a cliff overlooking Cathedral Cove, we saw sealoins.On the way back we saw sealions sunning themsleves on the shore and a whale and more dolphins.
  
  
• After dinner we saw an Improv Show

  Wed Feb 7

• Santa Barbara Court House
  
• Drove south to San Simeon. On the bus we were joined by Dan Krieger, who talked about the area.
• Lunch at Courtesy Inn in San Simeon.
• We walked along the Beach and collected rocks and shells
• Dinner at the Pacific Blue Bar and Grill
• After dinner we had a class on the Elephant Seals with Ken Cummings, who is a Friend of the Elephant Seals. February is the perfect time to go, becasue the females are nursing thier pups and the males are forming harems. So all are ashore.

  Thur Feb 8

• Hearst Castle
  
• Piedras Blanca Elephant Seal Colony
  
• Lunch at Robins in Cambria, then poked around town.
• After Dinner ws closing cerimonies. It was sad to say goodbye...I liked everyone!
  

  Friday Feb 9

• Returned to Ventura
• checked into the Holiday Inn Express
• Santa Barbara Maritime Museum-they had the Chumash tomol that we had learned about in our class.
• Walked along the beach in Santa Barbara
  
• Dinner at Anacapa Brewery

  Saturday Feb 10

• Walked along Ventura Harbor
  
• Hiked at the Chumash Interpative Center. The Center was closed, but we had a nice hike anyway.
  
• Returned to LA
